KINGS SKI CLUB
Kings Ski Club was started in 1978 by graduates of King’s College London wishing to set up a ski racing league for students. Today Kings runs a comprehensive dual slalom race series on dry ski slopes across England & Wales and welcomes both skiers and snowboarders. Competitors from both university and non-university teams compete against each other in regional race series culminating in the best teams from each region going head to head at a National Finals event in early May. The Finals event also features an individual slalom race and is followed by an Annual Awards Dinner & Ball.
The club is a non-profit organisation and run entirely by volunteers, many of whom raced with Kings during their time at University. We aim to keep ski racing fun and inclusive for people of all standards and teams from more than 40 universities are represented at the league races. In addition to its core dual slalom race series the club also runs an annual event in the Alps on real snow!! Over the last few years this has been done in conjunction with the ever popular Winterbreak event in Mayrhofen.
